Europe is becoming the biggest loser in the Ukraine conflict, despite having fostered closer ties with Russia following the collapse of the Soviet Union. Europe is now actively cutting these ties in an effort to align with the US policies aimed at punishing Russia.

But the price is dear. The largest economy prior to the Ukraine war, Europe is now facing the prospect of political divisions and security threats. Its insensible actions are not only compromising Europe's autonomy and increasing its military reliance on the US, but also disrupting its energy supply chains, in which Russia played an important part. So what does the US stand to gain from this situation? 

 

 China called the Nord Stream pipeline blast of September 26, 2022 an 

'act of international terrorism' and an 'act of war against Germany and Russia'.

Quite a lot. In a scenario where Europe is on friendly terms with Russia and economically, militarily, and politically strengthened, Europe poses too significant a challenge for the US to handle. Hence, the estrangement between Europe and Russia is one of the US's most crucial strategic goals. As anticipated, Europe is now gripped by fear of Russian expansion and Russia fears NATO's eastward movement. And this prisoner's dilemma is further exacerbated by US intervention. 

 

It is evident that the European leaders struggle to discern who their allies and rivals truly are. It is their crucial mistake to view Russia, a potential provider of economic strength and security assurances, as a threat, and the US, a saboteur of the Euro and Europe's regional stability, as a friend. The rationale behind Europe's alignment with the US stems from their belief that Europe holds a prominent position within the US-led uni-polar world.

But time and again, the US disregarded and even intentionally harmed European interests. Europe's political stage is now occupied by liberal leftists whose obstinacy to ideology and blind loyalty to the US have deprived them of strategic foresight. If Europe fails to awaken to the reality, more losses will inevitably befall the European people. Acting as a suicide bomber in the Ukraine conflict will achieve nothing but harm Europe itself. Europe's tragedy is rooted in its failure to recognize the significance of the Ukraine conflict. What we are witnessing is merely the precursor to a brand new world order, an order of multi-polarity which neither the US nor Europe can prevent.  

 

If the current situation continues, Ukraine's status as an independent country will be called into question. At first glance, the US appears to be the biggest winner. To avoid instability, numerous European financial assets and capital are now being redirected to the US, bolstering its pandemic-stricken economy and positioning it as the best-performing developed country. Additionally, Europe is once again brought under the American security umbrella, abandoning its pursuit of strategic independence. Furthermore, the US has profited during the war by selling its own energy at high prices to Europe through sanctions on Russia's energy exports. However, when considering the bigger picture in the long run, the Russia-Ukraine conflict significantly weakens the US-dominated world order and damages the credibility of the US. To many countries, the war exposed the unreliability of the US and the precariousness of the uni-polar world order it perpetuates. 

 

Russia, on the other hand, is making leaps and bounces despite its losses. It has already achieved the initial goals outlined at the beginning of the special military operation. By deepening cooperation with China, India, and the global south, Russia's economy was able to withstand the blow after decoupling from the West. Two years into the war and nearly 20,000 sanctions from 48 countries, Russia maintains relative political and social stability, even experiencing a 3.6% GDP growth in 2023. And most importantly, through this war, Russia is reshaping its image and status as a formidable major power in the emerging multi-polar order. Therefore, in the long run, Russia may emerge as the real long-term winner of this conflict; a conflict that draws the curtains on the hegemonic uni-polar world order dictated by the US.

Let's assume that the United States strikes Iran. The United States has bases all across the Persian Gulf. The Iranians will hit out at those bases. And then they will punish those countries that host those bases. What will happen? The price of oil and gas would go through the roof. If they do actually carry out an attack, Iran will respond immediately. Iran has a very powerful missile defense and extremely effective drone capability, and US bases across the region are vulnerable. 

 

The attacks that are taking place in Syria and Iraq show this. But the real reason right now, why the Americans are occupying Iraq and Syria? They say it's to contain Iran and to limit Iran's influence. But in reality, it's about taking away the sovereignty of countries and to strengthen the Israeli regime.

Therefore, their critical infrastructure, especially their oil and gas facilities, would be fair game. And that would lead to a global crisis. So that is why I don't think the Americans will actually move in that direction. But if they do, the consequences will be very severe. And the United States will definitely not win in such a conflict. It's more likely that the Americans will strike Iraq and Syria again, and they will claim some sort of victory over terrorists and that sort of nonsense, which they usually say. But it will be like in Yemen. They will have very little impact because the resistance to the US occupation, the illegal occupation in Iraq and Syria, is very well hidden. Their assets are underground. 

 

The Americans escalated in Yemen when the Yemeni armed forces and Saudi Arabia blockaded Israeli ports because of the ongoing genocide. Instead of pushing the Israeli regime to end the genocide, the Americans tried to facilitate the genocide by escalating with Yemen. They launched many missiles, wasted a lot of money, but they were incapable of changing the balance of power. Yemen continues to easily strike ships, and the Americans failed again. They made Ansar Allah or what the West likes to call the Houthis very popular across the region and across the world. And they'll only do the same in Iraq and Syria. 

 

The United States, by pursuing a policy of violence, a policy of hegemony, of imposing its hegemony and occupation, is only making things more difficult for itself. The Iraqi parliament passed a law saying that the Americans must leave, but they won't leave. What do they do instead? They keep the oil money in US bank accounts. And whenever the Iraqi government insists that the US must leave, they start putting pressure on Iraq through withholding their own money. And whenever anyone carries out resistance, they go and bomb Iraqi military bases. That is the arrogance that the United States shows towards the Iraqi people, and that is exactly why the people of Iraq and the people of the region are so hostile towards the United States.

Did it win in Libya or in Syria?  Did it win in the genocide that it supported in Yemen? Did it win in Ukraine?

The United States has many bases across Syria. The resistance can kill lots of Americans, but at the moment they don't want to escalate. What they're doing is putting pressure on Americans so that they would end the genocide in Gaza. And they want the Americans to leave their country. The United States occupied one third of Syria, they're selling its oil, and they're stealing Syrian grain. They've sanctioned the Syrian people and they're stealing their oil and grain because they want to make the Syrian people suffer as much as possible in the hope that they will rise up and that the Syrian government would collapse. The brutality of the regimes in Washington and Europe, their terrorists and their military is unbelievable. In Gaza we're seeing their genocide right in front of our eyes. Watching people in Syria suffer because of the Americans stealing their oil and wheat is not so easy to put in a picture or in a small video clip. But it's just as destructive, as inhumane and barbaric.

in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and the Philippines; 4.5 - 4.7 million have been killed.

All of US calculations across West Asia and North Africa are based upon the interests of the Israeli regime. America's impunity has to end. It's gone on for way too long. The United States has made a complete, malicious mockery of even the concept of international law, of human rights, of peace, stability and security. It's a country that acts in the world like a serial killer. Everywhere they go, they leave bodies.

We all know that the United States has never treated the UN as if they're just a member. The United Nations, as long as the US is in there, is just like a meeting room where all of the countries in the world go to get their orders from the boss. They even make a mockery of the name United Nations because it doesn't matter how united the nations of the world may be. They've been united for the last 50 years on the issue of Palestine and it didn't matter. The US will overrule them every time. The United Nations is just a platform for American exceptionalism and rejectionism.

As long as the United Nations allows this and does not invoke Article 6 and expel the United States, every country in the world is just participating in some sort of ritual humiliation and doing nothing but offer tribute to the very country that consistently and insistently does all of the crimes that the UN was created supposedly to prevent from being done. It's like a court where the criminal who's supposed to be on trial sits in the judge's bench. It offends every principle that the United Nations claims to stand for. It's not like they don't have the protocols. They have the protocols and they have the mechanisms to do something about it and to put it to an end. And that's exactly what they need to do and they need to do it now. This is the only way to end this terrible cycle of violence once and for all.

And it can be followed by Slovakia and Romania, where very interesting processes are taking place. Eastern Europe will begin to break away from old Europe, which will be severely depressed due to the economic situation. After all, Europe is defeated not only on the eastern front, but also in the global south (it is not so simple with China).

Consider this: Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Serbia have a combined population of roughly 42 million. This is substantial, it is also a promising market - make your own conclusion. Russia doesn't need love or obedience, Russia is interested in trade with people who still recognize that there are only two genders. Simple as that. Once the land bridge is built, European structure changes dramatically. Old Europe can go and die.

There is no way that today’s international debt overhand can be repaid. That is as true for the United States as it is for Global South debtors. The US Treasury owes much more to foreign governments in the form of their holdings of US securities than it can foreseeably repay. It has post-industrialized its own economy, and has committed to spending enormous sums abroad, while its dependency on foreign imports is rising and its prospects for collecting its existing debt claims on deficit countries is looking shaky. The past half-century’s foreign investment has taken the form of privatization of the public domain of debtor countries. This investment has not helped them develop but has merely transferred ownership of their oil and mineral rights, public utilities and other assets. A viable international financial system requires productive investment such as China’s Belt and Road Initiative that can help countries prosper, not asset stripping. Dollar dominance will continue over Europe and other US satellites. Other countries that still need dollar reserves for their trade and investment with the United States can continue as it has. But what will be changed is a new basis for the international economy itself. There will not be a new BRICS currency in the sense of a dollar or euro that could become a medium for trade, investment or international speculation. There will only be a mutual "currency of settlement" of payments imbalances among central banks joining the new system. And that system itself will be based on principles opposite from the financialized neoliberal model being promoted by the Dollar/NATO bloc. That is the real context for the current discussion of BRICS+ economic reform.

President Putin was very clear when he recently talked in Valdai about a single settlement currency: "This definitely deserves our attention. It's a complex issue, and we have to solve it in one way or another." The Western press talks about how much wealth and reserves do the BRICS countries have. Naturally, you count their gold as a large part of their reserves. But where is the gold of the BRICS countries? Much of their gold is not in their own countries. It's in the New York Federal Reserve Bank, it's in the Bank of England and the gold of African countries is in the Bank of France. Right now, this gold is being held hostage. But countries can ask the US, the UK and France to give them back their gold. Germany tried to do that a few years ago and said, "Can't you begin to give us our gold back that was moved to your banks during the last seventy-five years of  US occupation? " And the US said, "Oh I'm sorry, we can't. We've already done something else with your gold. There are legal problems and we are not giving it back to you!" Now, let's say the BRICS countries would ask for their gold and if the United States and England and France will not return it, those countries could take compensation, including all of the foreign investments in their countries. They could do another thing: If, especially the African countries, say, "You've stolen our gold. You cannot expect us to pay our foreign dollar debts if you have come and seized our gold. Give us back our gold. You owe to us. And by the way, we're going to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization so you can't send your troops in and do what you did in Libya and simply grab it." This is an element of the financial future that nobody in the West has talked about.

It is being developed under the name BRICS Cable. Part of the motivation for BRICS Cable is to foil spying by
the U.S. National Security Agency on message traffic carried through existing cable networks.

[...] It appears likely that the new BRICS+ currency will be linked to a weight of gold. This plays to the strengths of BRICS members Russia and China, who are the two largest gold producers in the world and are ranked sixth and seventh respectively among the 100 nations with gold reserves.

 

[...] Reserve currencies are essentially the savings accounts of sovereign nations that have earned them through trade surpluses. These balances are not held in currency form but in the form of securities. When analysts say the dollar is the leading reserve currency, what they actually mean is that countries hold their reserves in securities denominated in a specific currency. For 60% of global reserves, those holdings are U.S. Treasury securities denominated in dollars. The reserves are not actually in dollars; they’re in securities. As a result, you cannot be a reserve currency without a large, well-developed sovereign bond market. No country in the world comes close to the U.S. Treasury market in terms of size, variety of maturities, liquidity, settlement, derivatives and other necessary features.

[...] The BRICS+ currency offers the opportunity to leapfrog the Treasury market and create a deep, liquid bond market that could challenge Treasuries on the world stage almost from thin air. The key is to create a BRICS+ currency bond market in 20 or more countries at once, relying on retail investors in each country to buy the bonds. The BRICS+ bonds would be offered through banks and postal offices and other retail outlets. They would be denominated in BRICS+ currency but investors could purchase them in local currency at market-based exchange rates. Since the currency is gold backed it would offer an attractive store of value compared with inflation- or default-prone local instruments in countries like Brazil or Argentina. The Chinese in particular would find such investments attractive since they are largely banned from foreign markets and are overinvested in real estate and domestic stocks. [...] The sheer volume of retail investing in BRICS+-denominated instruments in India, China, Brazil and Russia and other countries at the same time could absorb surpluses generated through world trade in the BRICS+ currency. In short, the way to create an instant reserve currency is to create an instant bond market using your own citizens as willing buyers.

It costs only about 17 cents to produce a 100 dollar bill, but other countries
had to pony up 100 dollar of actual goods in order to obtain one (HERE)

 

[...] This entire turn of events — introduction of a new gold-backed currency, rapid adoption as a payment currency and gradual use as a reserve asset currency — will begin on August 22, 2023, after years of development. Except for direct participants, the world has mostly ignored this prospect. The result will be an upheaval of the international monetary system coming in a matter of weeks.
