The Collapse of America's Constitutional Order | Jeffrey Sachs

A president stood at the UN and claimed the right to annihilate a civilization. Congress said nothing. That is the constitutional order collapsing in public. I shuddered then, and I shudder now that a president of the United States can stand at the podium of the UN General Assembly, speaking to world leaders in a language of annihilation of other countries and of sending them to hell. It was ghastly, unprecedented, totally disgusting, disgraceful for the United States. But it is also a measure of how broken the constitutional order of the United States is.

Annihilation as Presidential Language
Trump basically said, like a madman—which I think, arguably, he is—that he and he alone will decide the survival of Iran. He said that he has a big, big choice to make. Maybe Iran will be a great country. Maybe Iran will be annihilated. Maybe Trump will send it to hell. And not only was the language vulgar in a way that I certainly could never, in my lifetime, have imagined coming from a president of the United States or anybody standing at the UN podium—because what Trump said was odious and completely in violation of every religious, moral, ethical, and legal standard that we have in this world—it was also a measure of the brazen collapse of our Constitution.

Who Has the Power to Declare War?
Is there a political system where one man decides the fate of another civilization? Is that how the American system works? Of course, the answer is no. The Founding Fathers, who rebelled against a mad King George III, were very explicit in the Declaration of Independence, celebrated this year, 250 years after its issuance. We're in the 250th anniversary, one that Trump says is about our freedom. It was explicit that King George took on the authority to put the military above civil rule.

And when the Founding Fathers wrote the US Constitution, they specifically assigned the power to declare war not to the commander in chief, but solely and exclusively to the United States Congress—not by choice, not if they care about it or want to, not if they want to delegate it or not, but solely to Congress. Trump said yesterday he doesn't care what the public thinks. He doesn't care what the vote is. He says, 'It doesn't even cross my mind.' And earlier this year, when he was asked, 'Well, are there any limits on your power?' he thought about it and said, 'Yes, my morality, but it's my will. It's what I want to do. Otherwise, no, there are no other limits.'

When Congress Fails to Act
What did our Congress do? The majority party in both houses simply remained silent. Trump said he was going to have the difficult choice of whether to annihilate one of the most ancient civilizations in the world, 5,000 years old, twenty times older than the United States of America.

What did our Speaker of the House say? Nothing. What did our Senate majority leader say? Nothing. What did the members of the president's party in Congress say? Nothing. That is the institutional failure. Congress has the constitutional authority over war and the power of the purse. Yet when the president claims the unilateral authority to determine whether another country lives or dies, the institutions constitutionally empowered to check that authority remain silent.

The tens or hundreds of billions of dollars that Trump has wasted of American income in this flagrant war of whim—where is Congress to say, 'You have no authority whatsoever to spend that because only we can decide on the spending and only we can declare war'? This is worse than the Roman Empire. There was a Senate that actually still said something. Our Senate says nothing.

Beyond Partisanship
I am not partisan. And a Democratic president who dared to be as absolutely mad and deranged as this president would probably find subservience in that party too. So I'm not even making a partisan point. I'm making a point about the collapse of our constitutional order.

We are so broken that not only do we have a madman in power, but there is no respect for the constitutional limits on presidential power. The president can make statements, as he made yesterday, unprecedented in the chamber of the General Assembly in front of world leaders, speaking like the worst tyrant or gangster imaginable, and not a murmur from the Republican Party, which dominates the House and the Senate.

The Absence of Institutional Restraint
Have we come to a point where one man, who I happen to think is utterly incompetent, utterly sociopathic, actually—when people are killed under his order, not a moment of reflection or remorse when 150 schoolgirls are murdered, and he knows the truth. He says, ‘Yeah, the Iranians probably did it. We'll find out.' No, not any control at all in our system of government.

So, how I feel? I shudder at the last 24 hours, both at what the president said. It made my skin crawl. I was sitting there in the chamber listening to this madness. I mean, it really was psychopathic madness, speaking in this way, with a vulgarity that is unimaginable. But then I've shuddered since at the lack of response by the leaders—the majority leader of the US Senate, the Speaker of the House, Supreme Court justices, anybody—to say no. In our system of government, it's not one person who decides on the fate of another civilization.

The Grim Constitutional Question
We are a country, we say, first of all, of representation, and the American people are aghast at this. They oppose it overwhelmingly. They do not support this war of Netanyahu and Trump, which is a two-person war of murder and destruction and assassination of leaders of another country. They do not support it.

So this is the grim fact. It wasn't just the awful statements. That was my first reaction. But then I thought, what have we come to when one person can make a statement like this and then remain essentially unchallenged in the United States system of government? Annihilation is not diplomacy. Congressional silence is not restraint. A constitutional republic cannot survive if one man claims the power to decide whether another civilization lives or dies.

The Curse of Democracy | Russell Geoffrey Banks

How true it was when Plato said, "Democracy does not choose the best leader; it chooses the best liar." And this is why every single democracy fails eventually. Democracy does not reward wisdom; it rewards persuasion. The one who understands reality loses to the one who can manipulate perception. The honest lose to the charming. The dedicated lose to the theatrical. Plato said the heaviest penalty for decline in power was to be ruled by someone inferior.

Plato's Allegory of the Cave is a famous philosophical thought experiment from his work The Republic. The scene depicts a prisoner chained to a wall, watching shadows projected onto the cave surface in front of him. Behind a wall, a puppeteer holds up a bird figure in front of a fire, casting a shadow that the prisoner mistakes for reality. This serves as a metaphor for how humans can become trapped by superficial sensory perceptions instead of seeking true knowledge and higher truths.

» Tyranny naturally arises out of democracy, and the most aggravated
form of tyranny and slavery out of the most extreme liberty. «

And that was not moral advice; that was the law of power. When competence withdraws, manipulation advances. When truth is costly, lies become efficient. And when popularity decides authority, deception is always the strategy. Democracy does not collapse from the outside. It hollows itself from within, and when the lies finally shake the system, the ending is predictable. The people don't resist tyranny; they beg for it. That's how bad things have to get: they beg for it.

Waiting for the Axe of History to Fall | Constantin von Hoffmeister

Aristotle, the ancient diagnostician of democracy, looms over this spectacle like an unblinking oracle. He saw this coming over two thousand years ago. In Politics, he warned of democracy’s slow suicide, its descent into ochlocracy, the rule of the mob, where plebeian apathy and elite corruption conspire to suffocate the soul of the polis. And now? Germany, the heart of the European project, is gasping in its terminal stage, a civilization devouring itself in the throes of bureaucratic sterility. Aristotle’s nightmare — where democracy degenerates into oligarchic tyranny — has unfolded before our eyes, and the people, battered and betrayed, have turned to the AfD in search of salvation.

This is not just another election. It is an insurrection of the disillusioned, the dispossessed, the ones cast aside in the great sacrificial burning of European industry, European identity, and European will. The AfD’s 20% is more than a number. It is a hammer blow to the temple of a senile establishment that clings to power like a parasite to a dying host. Oswald Spengler, always lurking in the shadows of decline, grins from the abyss, his vision of the West’s Untergang — the inevitable sinking into civilizational night — now fully realized in the pale, hollow eyes of Merkel and Scholz’s progeny.

Germany, once a titan of industrial might, now watches its factories shuttered, its energy bills soaring to heights unknown, its streets flooded not with the march of progress but with the quiet desperation of a people abandoned. Unvetted mass immigration further strains an already collapsing system, diluting national cohesion, fueling rising crime, and deepening economic turmoil. Deindustrialization is not a policy; it is a ritual suicide, orchestrated by an elite class that sneers at the workers it claims to represent. This self-inflicted ruin stems from the foolish decision to sever Russian oil and gas supplies while simultaneously shutting down perfectly safe and clean nuclear power plants, triggered by green hysteria, leaving the nation energy-starved and vulnerable. The AfD’s rise is the backlash, the return of the repressed, the last, desperate howl of a nation refusing to kneel before its executioners.

And yet, even as the AfD ascends, the rot remains. 20% is not enough. Not yet. The CDU, ever the shapeshifting chameleon of power, will twist itself into whatever grotesque coalition is required to keep the machine grinding on. The system is designed to perpetuate itself, to stifle true revolution before it can take root. Aristotle knew this, too — democracy’s end does not come with a sudden coup but with a slow, meticulous suffocation, the masses lulled into a stupor while the oligarchs tighten their grip.

Europe, as a geopolitical force, is vanishing. The great capitals — Berlin, Paris, London — are husks, their relevance bleeding away with every year that passes, every decision made to weaken their own people. Power is shifting, tectonic, and irreversible. The new centers of the West are no longer in Brussels or Strasbourg, those necropolises of decrepit bureaucracy, but in Moscow and Washington, in the hard men of Russia and the Trumpist resurgence in America, where will-to-power has not yet been extinguished.

The AfD, for all its momentum, must now decide whether it is content to be a protest vote or whether it will grasp the mantle of true revolution. Because Spengler’s twilight is here, and Aristotle’s lesson rings louder than ever: democracies do not die in flames; they decay from within, rotting until they are but incinerated ruins waiting for the axe of history to fall.

And the axe is coming.

The term 'banana republic' is inappropriate to describe the 'German' regime:
To begin with, Germany is not a sovereign state and has no constitution—just like the State of Israel in Palestine, the so-called 'Federal Republic of Germany' is merely another illegitimate occupation regime for a pitiful territory with defeated and displaced natives in it, getting settled by foreign migrants, ruled and exploited since 80 years by Anglo-US-French Zionists, their stooges, and a Basic Law. The good news is that both the State of Israel and the Federal Republic of Germany are crumbling.

The US Is Now Ready for Violence, Civil War & Secession | Martin Armstrong

This will probably be the last election in the United States, for we will most likely split into three regional governments. [...] There is no question that post-election violence will be extreme. Whenever you have this winner-takes-all system and political corruption unfolds, the LEFT is not seeking to govern the nation; they are seeking to oppress all opponents.

» The United States will most likely split into three regional governments. «

[...] Democracies are supposed to be where people have the right to vote. The Democrats were denied the right even to select their candidate. This is tyranny, for Kamala was merely installed. [...] Typically, governments go into civil wars when there is a conflict that is culturally/ethnically, religiously, or racially driven, and we are now checking that box and just waiting for the election. We will face a rigged and contested election that neither side will accept. When there is no confidence in the government anymore, the ONLY resolution is always violence. History confirms this prognostication. How can there be such fantastic polls for Kamala, who never won a single delegate during the 2020 primary, and we look at the only real independent poll organization that shows confidence in Congress down to 7%?

» No question that post-election violence will be extreme. «

It does not matter who wins. This election will NEVER be accepted, and it certainly will NOT unify the country. The Democratic Convention threw Trump’s name out 329 times. It was just a hate fest. That will ensure violence. The LEFT will never accept a Trump victory – NO WAY!!!!! There is no belief that this election will be free and fair. The United States has declined into this dangerous characteristic that warns the country is far too divided to stand. I am concerned that the dollar may decline FOR THIS REASON. I want to think that reform is possible. Unfortunately, history tells us that when an empire, nation, country, or city-state is this divided, REFORM becomes possible only AFTER violence.

Criticism of mRNA Vaccines now Punishable in France │ Thomas Oysmüller

On February 14, 2024, a law has been passed in France that criminalizes criticism of medical treatment that is appropriate according to "science". The law was pushed through the National Assembly; critics call the law 'Article Pfizer'. According to the law, anyone in France who advises against mRNA or other "medical treatments" that are "obviously suitable" for treatment according to the current state of medical knowledge can now be punished with up to three years in prison or a fine of up to 45,000 euros.

» All tyrannies rule through fraud and force.
But once the fraud is exposed they must rely exclusively on force. «
Nineteen Eighty-Four
George Orwell

The law creates a new criminal offense that makes "incitement to discontinue or refrain from therapeutic or prophylactic medical treatment" and "incitement to use practices that are presented as therapeutic or prophylactic" punishable. This means that any opposition to mRNA treatment and other methods propagated by the pharmaceutical lobby can also be criminalized and punished.
