Composites and Primes as a Self Organized System | Nikola Tesla

The graphic known as the "Nikola Tesla Map to Multiplication" or "Math Spiral" is a piece of modern mathematical art created around 2014 by Arizona digital artist and educator Joey Grether. To make his pedagogical tool go viral, Grether artificially aged the graphic to resemble vintage parchment, stamped it with the symbolic date "12/12/12," appended Tesla’s signature, and fabricated a backstory claiming it was discovered by artist Abe Zucca in a Phoenix antique shop. The internet readily embraced this lore due to Tesla's pop-culture association with vortex mathematics and his famous obsession with the numbers three, six, and nine.

Nikola Tesla’s map to multiplication contains all numbers in a simple to use system. Since the diagram is dated 12/12/12, December 12, 1912. Tesla likely created it during the last years of his Free Energy Lab in Wardenclyffe. The map is very intuitive, allowing to see how numbers work together based on a spiral with 12 positions. 12 and multiples of 12 is the most highly composite system. There are 12 months in a year, 12 inches in a foot, 24 hours in a day, etc. 12 can be divided by 2, 3, 4, and 6, so can all multiples of 12. For every 12 numbers there is a chance of 4 numbers being a prime. They happen to fall in positions 5, 7, 11, and 1 (think clock positions). Tesla said: “If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have the key  to the universe.” The digital roots of the numbers in positions 3, 6, 9, and 12 constantly repeat the same  sequence 3, 6, 9.

A Tesla Multiplication 3D interactive applet can be found HERE. Well, in reality all of the above was created by math teacher Joey Grether: He originally developed the chart for his children. He tried to promote it via 12xspiral but with little success. So he cheekily decided to create a hoax, making it look like the chart was by Nikola Tesla (HERE)
Mathematically, the chart is an innovative, real visualization that organizes numbers up to 144 sequentially around a concentric, base-12 spiral grid divided into twelve radial spokes. Instead of presenting abstract digits lineally, it maps multiplication and factorization into self-organizing geometric patterns; multiples of three form a perfect square, multiples of four track an equilateral triangle, and multiples of six bisect the system in a straight line. This twelve-position matrix additionally serves to illustrate number theory and prime factorization, causing prime numbers like five, seven, eleven, and thirteen to spiral outward in predictable, cascading trajectories across opposite sides of the dial to visually demonstrate how numbers can act as geometric vector coordinates.

The Fourth State of Matter

NASA Hubble Space Telescope image of planetary nebula NGC 2818:
red = nitrogen, green = hydrogen, and blue = oxygen (HERE)
"The whole of space is filled with electrons and flying electric ions of all kinds. We have assumed that each stellar system in evolution throws off electric corpuscles into space. It does not seem unreasonable therefore to think that the greater part of the material masses in the universe is found, not in the solar systems or nebulae, but in "empty" space." | Kristian Birkeland (1913) | see also HERE

99.9 percent of the Universe is made up of plasma. The magnetosphere provides a barrier between our planet and particles continually given off by the Sun’s corona called the 'solar wind'. These particles constitute a plasma – a mixture of electrons (negatively charged) and ions (atoms that have lost electrons, resulting in a positive electric charge). Plasma is not a gas, liquid, or solid – it is the fourth state of matter [...] The Sun is composed of plasma, fire is plasma." | NASA 1999
