The Horns of Venus

The Horns of Venus are the elongated, glowing crescent tips visible on October 28–29, 2026, over Arabia as Venus passes between Earth and the Sun. During this inferior conjunction, Venus's thick atmosphere refracts sunlight, extending the illuminated crescent beyond a semicircle into distinctive, pointed "horns." The phenomenon recurs roughly every 18 months.
Driven by a 584-day synodic cycle, this alignment recurs predictably but rarely causes a solar transit because Venus’s 3.39° orbital inclination usually lifts or drops it safely outside the Sun's disk from Earth's point of view.

 Historical Precedents: The 8-Year Loop.

Peaking at 0° Scorpio opposite disruptive Uranus (October 23 at 11:44 PM ET) and square power-seeking Pluto (October 20 at 1:36 PM ET), this 8-year loop conjunction triggered severe banking corrections, infrastructure shocks, and an intense geopolitical reset that forced the US, the EU, Argentina, Brazil, and Israel into high-stakes financial overhauls, while demanding critical sovereignty renegotiations across the raw power axis of Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Yemen before Venus retrograded back into Libra on October 25; this transition into the sign of the judiciary elevates generic mediation into structured, legally enforceable arbitration to rewrite international treaties by November 13 out of pure economic necessity.
