Inconvenient Truth: Peoples of the World Bleeding in the Service of Empire

Bloomberg (6 February 2013): Peugeot, France’s biggest carmaker, wants to eliminate 11,200 jobs, or 17 percent of its workforce in the country ...

BBC (8 February 2013): Global sales at France's largest car firm fell 16% in 2012 to less than three million. Peugeot is in the process of cutting 8,000 jobs and closing a factory to stem losses ...

The above is the usual number-wish-wash of the mainstream free-press. Here are the facts:

Fars News Agency (9 February 2012): "Analysts forget that Peugeot has decided to ignore Iran's great car market for Peugeot products. Peugeot has been selling 450,000 cars annually to Iran, but it avoided Iranian market for political motives" ... According to Peugeot, 10 per cent of the company's products in world markets are related to its contracts with Iran Khodro Company.

Rodney Shakespeare (January 16, 2013): Gripped by elitist financial fascists and the military-industrial complex intent on enriching themselves at the expense of the middle classes, the USA has permanently exported the jobs of 56,000 commercial enterprises. The spending of each worker supports another four jobs so that, in all, thirty two million jobs have been lost for ever.

... America is now a hugely aggressive, and very expensive, military empire. The latest news is that American troops are going into thirty five African nations to create mayhem and assassinate civilians; the USA has a seeming determination to precipitate a Sino-Japanese war (also HERE); and, in any case, with its foreign policy controlled by Zionism and heavily influenced by the Christian Zionists, it is doing its best to engineer some form of major war in the Middle East ...The USA also has somewhere around nine hundred military bases around the world and, if all its military expenditure were to be openly admitted, instead of disguised in obfuscating accounts, it would probably be somewhere towards half of the world’s total.

Vladimir Putin (February 10, 2007): Today we are witnessing an almost uncontained hyper use of force – military force – in international relations, force that is plunging the world into an abyss of permanent conflicts ... We are seeing a greater and greater disdain for the basic principles of international law ... first and foremost the United States, has overstepped its national borders in every way. This is visible in the economic, political, cultural and educational policies it imposes on other nations. Well, who likes this? Who is happy about this?

Noam Chomsky (January 29, 2013): The United States would be recognized as a leading terrorist state if international law is applied. More HEREHERE & HERE & HERE & HERE & HERE
